Project Management Services
BCI has a strong group of project managers and general foremen with excellent job site and customer relations experience. These supervisors, along with our capable tradespeople, take pride in their workmanship and our projects reflect that. BCI’s planning and estimating staff can provide the following services:
- Budgetary pricing to help our customers accurately and competitively price proposed projects;
- Firm and detailed quotations for planned construction projects;
- Time and material rates for smaller maintenance projects and short notice emergency issues, requiring immediate resolution.
Design Build Services
BCI has extensive experience in the Design Assist and Design Build construction formats. BCI has the capability of assisting our customers with both the Electrical and Mechanical design concepts, ensuring a methodical, complete, cost effective installation. BCI has performed design assist and design build projects throughout the State of California, adding value and quality to our customers projects. During this process, BCI will:
- Help our customer(s) set a clear goal of what is to be accomplished, during the formative stage of the project.
- Provide a realistic budget to assist with financial planning.
- Integration of our Mechanical and Electrical design teams ensure a complete service.
- Assist with engineering and permitting requirements.
- Develop a complete milestone schedule to detail each step of the project as it progresses.
- BCI will work directly with equipment manufacturers to evaluate and procure equipment in a timely fashion, providing our customers with “single source” capabilities for both Mechanical and Electrical trades, allowing for faster project completion through the installation, commissioning and start-up phases.
- Our competent experienced installation teams are detail oriented, and supportive to our client’s needs.
- Many of our customers choose to “fast track” their projects, allowing a new or remodeled facility to be utilized sooner, than with traditional construction methods.
- CAD drawings and complete Operation and Maintenance Manuals are provided at the end of each installation, providing our customer with a complete record of their construction project.
General Contracting Services
BCI performs work as a general contractor, utilizing subcontractors in conjunction with our own personnel. We have developed solid working relationships with chosen subcontractors who have proven track records and can meet scheduling and quality requirements.
Typical installations include:
- Complete process installations including structural steel, equipment setting, piping, power controls, and ventilation;
- Installation of control rooms, mezzanines, platforms, and related equipment;
- Installation of complete electrical sub-stations including foundations and earthwork.
Direct Contracting Services
Mechanical/HVAC installation performed by Union sheetmetal workers:
- Dry side HVAC including plant and office supply and return and exhaust systems;
- Production related ventilation and exhaust;
- Water treatment facilities and pumping stations;
- Industrial sheetmetal including booths, ovens, fume hoods, and noise abatement equipment;
- Laboratory exhaust and ventilation – generally stainless steel or fiberglass reinforced duct;
- Complete sheetmetal fabrications;
- Energy management systems.
Electrical Installations performed by IBEW electricians:
- Plant sub-station and high voltage equipment installation;
- Medium voltage distribution;
- Water treatment facilities and pumping stations;
- Plant power distribution and lighting;
- Process controls for plant automation systems and equipment;
- HVAC controls;
- Building management systems;
- Voice/Data communications networks;
- Fiber optics;
- Safety and emergency systems;
- Explosion proof environments and specialty installations;
- Emergency changeover;
- Preventative maintenance;
- FDA approved raceway and welded stainless electrical systems.
